Purity • Wealth • Innocence
A sterling silver 45cm long chain with June’s birthstone, Pearl, drop.
The pearl originates from oceans, lakes and rivers from all around the world. It has become a timeless wardrobe staple, beloved by all. Ancients from the Middle East believed that pearls were teardrops fallen from heaven and the Chinese believed that June’s birthstone came from the brain of dragons. Because the pearl is formed as the direct result of irritation, it is thought to hold the key to how we can overcome oppression and pain, an example of how to turn insignificant into sublime and beautiful.
Pearls are valued as gemstones although they are not actually minerals, but organic gems that grow inside the tissue of a living saltwater or freshwater mollusk and have infinite water energy, that sea soul kind of vibe.
Pearl is a serene gem and is believed to be calming and centering. It’s round shape and pale colour means it’s often associated with the moon and feminine energy.
Pearls have long been a traditional piece of jewellery worn by royalty, celebrities, and ancient famous women, including Cleopatra and Marylin Monroe. They are a sign of wealth and are found in several colours including white, off-white, pink and black. Pearls are timeless and classic and never go out of style. Whether you choose a simple strand of pearls, pearl studs, or a pair of pearl earrings, you create an ambiance of innocence and purity.
