Turquoise is one of the most unique gemstones. It doesn’t sparkle like other gemstones but it speaks volumes about its distinctive style and grace. It has a tranquil hue and is believed to stimulate the Throat Chakra, aiding us not only with its protection but to speak our truth with confidence.

This gemstone’s name was derived from the French expression ‘pierre tourques’, which translates to ‘Turkish stone’. It is believed that Turkey is where these precious stones were first discovered. They then travelled globally, and particularly to ancient Egypt, where tombs dating back to 4000 BC were the sites of the oldest pieces of jewellery known in the world.

The metaphysical properties of Turquoise is varied and are as unique as the gem itself. It was said to have helped with breathing problems, heal infections, improve vision and be an endless source of positive influence. It is said to work its magic specifically for the Throat Chakra, the gateway of our expression.

Our usual manufacturing time is 3 weeks for website orders from the time we receive the payment for your order. Orders can be fast tracked, when possible, at an additional jump-the-queue fee of R350 (5-7 business days).

We want all of our customers to be happy with purchases made at Janine Binneman Jewellery. However, if you receive any products that you are unhappy with, you may contact us within 2 weeks of receiving it and we will offer you a store credit for the item.

The purchase price is the amount you paid for the product and does not include any delivery costs.

Products returned must be unused, unworn, and undamaged. We shall have no obligation to accept any return that we receive after the expiration of the applicable return period (2 weeks after receipt of your parcel). Please ensure when returning the parcel that the products are properly protected.
