Orders
Purchase Of Products
When you order a product from our website you are offering to buy it at the price stated, subject to these terms. We will take all reasonable care to ensure that all details, descriptions and prices of products appearing on Janine Binneman Jewellery Design are correct at the time when the relevant information was entered onto the system.
We reserve the right to refuse an order, and a non-acceptance of an order may result from one of the following:

The product ordered is unavailable/out of stock/discontinued.

Our inability to obtain authorisation of payment.

The identification of an error within the product information, including price/promotion.
Any pending orders that are not paid for within 14 days of placement will automatically be deleted from our system and will have to be placed again should you wish to proceed with the purchase.
Prices
Prices are subject to change at any time.
Delivery
We cannot be held responsible for an incorrect address being entered while ordering on our website. If you complete your order and notice that the address details are incorrect, please contact us immediately at customerlove@janinebinneman.com.
We always supply your purchase/s to the delivery company in good order and you may request for us to take a picture of your jewellery piece with your invoice, before we seal it in its final packaging.
Tracking numbers will be emailed to you once we have handed your package over for delivery, and the courier service aims to deliver your parcel to your door within 3 – 5 working days of shipping.
All courier charges include insurance. We will not be held responsible for any loss/theft of items once it has been handed over to the delivery company.
DISCLAIMER: We DON’T ship to P.O Boxes and Postnet Suites under any circumstances.
Order Acceptance And Cancellation
Your receipt of an electronic/other form of an order confirmation does not signify our acceptance of your order, nor does it constitute confirmation of our offer to sell. We reserve the right at any time after receipt of your order to accept, decline, or limit your order for any reason, whether or not your credit card has been charged. If your credit card has been charged and your order is cancelled, you will receive a refund.
Once an order has been placed, it cannot be cancelled unless the shipment is unavoidably delayed. In this case, we will do our best to cancel the order if requested.
Payments

Janine Binneman Jewellery accepts payment via:
We DO NOT accept lay buys.
For EFT’s received for international orders, all bank charges are for the client’s account.
Upon receiving your order, we carry out a standard pre-authorisation check on your payment card to ensure there are sufficient funds to fulfil the transaction. Orders will not be manufactured and goods will not be dispatched until the pre-authorisation check has been completed.
If the issuer of your payment card refuses to, or does not authorise payment for any reason, then you will be notified of this immediately prior to completing your purchase using the site at the checkout stage. Your card will be debited once the order has been accepted.
We are not able to look for payments on our bank statement – therefore we require you to email us your proof of payment.
DISCLAIMER: Orders will remain on hold until we receive an emailed proof of payment and we cannot be held liable for any delays in orders being completed, if proof of payment is not sent.
Customs Duties
You may also be liable for any customs and import duties, quotas, permits, product restrictions and other local requirements. These charges must be paid for by the recipient of the parcel. Customs policies vary widely from state to state and country to country. Therefore we suggest that you check the requirements in your country before placing an order. We will not be liable for any customs or import duties.
Changes In Products And Pricing
We are constantly updating and revising our offerings of products, and we may discontinue products at any time without notice. All pricing for our products is subject to change. For all of our prices and products, we reserve the right to make adjustments due to changing market conditions, currency fluctuations, product discontinuation, manufacturer price changes, errors in advertisements, and other extenuating circumstances.
Manufacturing And Shipping Policy
We aim to process your order within 72 hours of it being placed. We will try our best to have your order ready in 2 to 3 weeks for shipping, depending on stock and suppliers.
For custom orders, please allow 4 – 6 weeks for manufacturing, from the date of receipt of payment. Orders can be fast tracked at an additional fee of R250. We ship orders Mondays to Thursdays during office hours and we do not operate on Saturdays or public holidays.
Once you have received your parcel, please open it with care. Janine Binneman Jewellery is not liable for any items damaged during the opening of your parcel. Any guarantees or representations made as to delivery times are subject to any delays resulting from postal delays or force majeure for which we will not be responsible.
Metals
Our jewellery is made from Sterling Silver, Gold-Plated Sterling Silver, 9ct and 18ct Gold and Platinum. Sterling Silver in South Africa is 92.5% Silver and 7.5% Copper.
Metals naturally develop a surface of patina over time, caused by oxygen, perfumes and skin acidity. Silver jewellery also develops patina if it’s not worn regularly. You can use a soft cloth and some Handy Andy cream to clean most pieces of jewellery, with the EXCEPTION of pearls, opals and emeralds. Please DO NOT use this method to clean these precious gems.
Plating is NOT permanent. It does fade over time, depending on how often the piece is worn and can also be affected by chemicals such as chlorine, detergents and general day-to-day wear. Plating can also be affected by skin acidity and regular rubbing/cleaning of jewellery can shorten its lifespan.
Luckily, when the plating fades, the piece will merely go back to sterling silver and can be re-plated at any time.
Don’t panic if you have the “green finger effect” – it is merely a reaction to the copper alloy in the sterling silver that takes place, especially if you have high body acidity. It happens to about 2-3% of people and this percentage is increasing due to the increase of chemicals in our environment, medications we take and the foods we eat.
Keep your skin dry when wearing jewellery. Remove your rings before showering, sleeping, exercising, strenuous activities, or when using cleaning products.
Stones
All stones used by Janine Binneman Jewellery are naturally formed and hand cut, therefore there can be slight variations with colour and shape, making each stone unique.
Photographs
We take photographs of all pieces that are manufactured and sent out. We reserve the right to use these in advertisements on our social media pages, as well as sending them to the media.
Further to this, photographs serve to document the state in which the items leave our studio and what size we made them – especially when the items are rings.
Advertising Disclaimer And Trademarks
We attempt to be as accurate as possible with product descriptions and prices. However, we do not warrant that product descriptions or prices are accurate. In the event that a product is listed at an incorrect price or with incorrect information due to typographical errors or errors in pricing or product information received from our suppliers and brands, we shall have the right to refuse or cancel any orders placed for said products.
We shall have the right to refuse or cancel any such orders whether or not the order has been confirmed and your credit card has been charged. If your credit card has already been charged for the purchase and your order is cancelled, we shall immediately issue a credit to your credit card account in the amount of the charge. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause you. If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, you may return it in accordance with our Return Policy, as set forth below.
Return, Exchange And Repair Policy
Return Policy
We want all of our customers to be happy with purchases made at Janine Binneman Jewellery. However, if you receive any products that you are unhappy with, you may contact us within 2 weeks of receiving it and we will offer you a store credit for the item.
The purchase price is the amount you paid for the product and does not include any delivery costs.

Products returned must be unused, unworn, and undamaged. We shall have no obligation to accept any return that we receive after the expiration of the applicable return period (2 weeks after receipt of your parcel). Please ensure when returning the parcel that the products are properly protected.
Exchange Policy
If you wish to exchange a product, you will be given store credit that you can use towards your next order. Please be aware that any purchases made with store credit are processed as a new order and standard postage costs and delivery times will apply.
You are responsible for courier costs of returning the item. We recommend using a reputable courier company, as we are not liable for any items lost or damaged upon the return of the product for exchange.
All products are exchangeable, excluding:

Bespoke or custom pieces cannot be returned or exchanged under any circumstances.
Repairs
Janine Binneman pieces are made to be functional, but they are not made to be worn during exercise, gardening, or any adventure or extreme sports etc, and they have to be taken care of when worn.
If your piece breaks within 10 days of purchase due to a manufacturing fault, we’re happy to repair it for FREE.
If the breakage or loss of gemstones are due to wear and tear, we will happily repair and replace, HOWEVER the cost is for YOUR account.
Please note repairs are quoted on a case-by-case basis and per repair.
